Lara Croft wins 6 Guinness World Records

Lady Lara Croft has once again proved that she is the best video game heroine in the gaming industry. Alison Carroll, the current official Lara Croft model, who attended the Guinness World Records photoshoot was swamped by the amount of awards won by the character. Even though we are talking about Lara Croft here, the awards she recieved was no less then stunning with awards such as "Most Detailed Video Game Character" and "Most Recognisable Female Character in a Video Game".

Tomb Raider Underworld Board Game!

Like many other Tomb Raider fans, I think that Eidos needs to release more merchandise for the games. Back when the company creating the games was Core Designs fans were spoilt by the amount of merchandise they could buy, from masks to slot machines, from Larazade to chocolate bars, postage stamps to...well you get the idea, there's a long long list. Well recently a Tomb Raider Underworld board game has been the release. Now here's the disappointing news. The game is only in French. It's fine if you speak french but for people who don't...it would be a very interesting game.

Tomb Raider Origins released concept art?

Quite spoiled tonight. After 14 months of waiting there has been something happening at Eidos....kind of. Again there is no official announcment but a fan at the Tomb Raider Forums found some new concept art which looks like the leaked concept art last year. Shao Wei Liu who is a concept artist at Crystal Dynamics and who has worked on Tomb Raider Legend, Anniversary and Underworld has posted a new pieces of art on their website. CLICK HERE for the website.

At the moment it is unconfirmed if the concept art is for the upcoming TR game, but it's nice to live in hope that the company haven't forgot about us.

UPDATE: EIDOS HAS RECENTLY STATED THAT THE CONCEPT ART IS NOT TOMB RAIDER ORIGIN.

New Tomb Raider Articles.

This is a quick piece of news: The Ivor Novello awards are to join with the Baftas as they discover the best video game music.

There is also another article about the science and art of level designs. Those of you who have the level editor from the bonus CD in Tomb Raider Chronicles (and those of you who want it can get it from Tomb Raider Chronicles...fantastic site) might find this article of interest. Like the BBC article above it does feature other games, whereas the BBC article was comparing them, this one brings all of them together and discusses the level editor feature across all of the games.

TV Appearences

Welcome to the new design of the website, it still needs tweaking but it's finally up there!

Over the past few days there has been a number of news announcements. So far nothing by Eidos about the next Tomb Raider game or the next movie, and with everything being confidential it's hard to keep a fan site (especially one like this) regularly updated. Although with people like Keeley Hawes, Minnie Driver, Rhona Mitra and Angelina Jolie connected to the series there's no chance of running out of news. They also have another thing in common recently, they are all starring in new television programs.

Friday's update!

Just a quick update. I have tests until the 20th January so there probably won't be any news until then and if you send me an email I will reply but on Friday. I will have time on Friday. I heard Keeley Hawes has appeared in my TV shows and there will be news about her new show; "Identity". Updates about current projects. A article (I know there hasn't been one in a while, and soon two of them will appear at once!), new projects for the site, and a new website design to make it abit more news/article focused site.

Can't wait until Friday, I've missed working on the site.

Dates for updates:
Friday 15th January
Thursday 21st January (last test)

Posting Delay

Unfortunatly due to exams I am forced to take a break from the site until January 22nd. I might be able to find an hour or so if any important news appears within the next few days but I will catch up on everything I've missed when the exams are done.

Typical to have four important tests so close together and with very little time to prepare.
