Tomb Raider Memories, A Fan Game

17th April 2010

Tomb Raider Memories is the stunning new fan game by Andrew Croft which will be available to download through Croft Generation when it is completed. The game will be for PC only. Only a limited of information has been released so far, but from screenshots of the game posted already on CG it's looking like a really interesting game.

The list of features look impressive also. In the game the player can combine items in Lara's inventory together like in Tomb Raider Chronicles. Lara has new defending and attacking strategies never before seen. The game promises to feature stages from the classic games but mainly looks at Tomb Raider Chronicles, weapons from the earlier games reappearing again. As well as the main storyline the player can also discover Easter eggs along the way. The game also brings the some of the features which can be found on Tomb Raider Anniversary (Wii Edition) for example the return of the archeology kit and the manual puzzles.

Chris Barrie doubts his return in upcoming TR Movie

Christ Barrie is probably most remembered for his role in Red Dwarf. But in 2001 and 2003, he starred in both Tomb Radier Movie's as Lara's loyal butler, Hillary. His character featured more in the movies then the butlers did in the games. However a recent interview revealed his doubts that he would return in the role.

"I would be very interested in reprising the role for it, but I don't think I will be asked as it's a new franchise - I'm not sure who's doing it and who the film company and everything is, but I don't think it's going to be with the old gang. But that was great fun, a couple of films, and I was a relatively small cog in the big machine, but it was great experience." - Chris Barrie

April Fool's Joke

For those who surf the Eidos forums or checked at Tomb Raider Chronicles on 1st April you would have probably notice two things. First Keir announced that in the upcoming multiplayer game the player could tint the colour of Lara's hair so she could become blonde, and second Goranager made all the Laras became Laura on the forums (It was a truly terrifying day!). Just to reassure those of you that didn't connect the day and joke it was of course an April fool.

Those of you that did see the joke would have probably seen a screenshot accompanying the article. We now have the original unedited version of the photo at our photo gallery.

Site Update

Yes! We’re back! After...not that much of a break! However there is Tomb Raider news.

First of all a quick tour of the new site. We have a new feature that will be updated every fortnight, the video which currently stars the lovely Alison Carroll in a Tomb Raider Anniversary trailer promoting the Wii. This was back when no one know who model for Tomb Raider Underworld was going to be. I think it's a fantastic trailer, there's gymnastics, Alison, Anniversary and Lara!

Underneath that is the return of "Quote of the Week" and "Fact of the Week" They were at the side of the screen for the past year and a half and since I am going to be updating them often, I've moved them more to the centre

Underneath them are two adverts, one is for our brand new YouTube channel...Well growing channel.  And a new feature that I've been thinking about for the last few months and the theory behind it was this; Whenever a Tomb Raider game comes out there are often numerous platforms, if you’re lucky, you might own a few consoles, however what platform do you buy the latest Tomb Raider on? Which is the best...That was a really bad explanation...When Underworld came out I had a DS, Wii and PC  and even though my computer couldn’t play it at the time I was really confused if I should wait until my computer was upgraded, buy it for the Wii or buy it for the DS. What I really needed at the time was a review of the game on all the platforms so I could make my decision. However I can’t do this alone, if you are good at writing reviews and you would like to contribute please send me an email

We have also got a brand new photo gallery! I’ve kept with my obsession with Google based products and our new gallery is hosted at Picasa! So far it only contains the models photos but give it time and it will soon grow

As always feel free to contact me if you want to talk about the series, I normally respond within a day.
